This EP came out of weekly sound explorations while pregnant with my son, Sidney. Making time each week to create something felt like a reprieve from uncertainty about our family's upcoming transformation. I sit here writing this with our baby asleep on my chest. We were once one person, and now we are two. What was our world like without him in it? I have no idea.

Micro Macro is about the Micro - the ripple effect, the small individual contributions, the grains of sand that make up the Macro - the past, the future, the big picture. Every track is built upon an improvisation on the Organelle synthesiser and Hologram Electronics Microcosm effects pedal. The electronics are the fabric and the clarinet is the thread.

Inspired by the weather in Melbourne over summer, this album depicts those sunny days that become muggy, humid, full of tension, and end with big raindrops bouncing off warm concrete.
